We leave from Cusco at 5:00am by our private bus, first stopping to visit the pre Inca burial towers of Ninamarca. We then drive through the mountains to get to Tres Cruces, the highest point and entrance to Manu National Park to one of the most protected natural areas in South America. From here we will descent passing by goblin forest into the Cloud Forest and at Fog forest we will explore for around 3 hours, in this part of the Park there are many bird species to be seen among which the beautiful paradise tanager, umbrella bird, the golden headed quetzal and the National bird of Peru, (the cock of the rock), the second biggest monkey in Peru (woolly monkeys) and to observe different types of bromeliads and beautiful orchids. Then we arrive to our Amazon pona Lodge where we will sleep in a beautiful and rustic lodge with prívate bathrooms and showers available, this night before dinner we do short night walking into the forest using our rubber boots (night walk optional).

At daybreak, after breakfast we continue by bus to tropical lowland rainforest, stopping along the way to visit a coca and banana plantations. Arriving at the small village Atalaya at 650m, we change into a motorized canoe to navigate down the fast Alto Madre de Dios River, with all equipment (life jackets) to our Ecological Reserve, along the boat trip, we can see a variety of birds, such as herons, Kingfisher and always the presence of vultures of which the most spectacular is the condor of the jungle, the king of vultures (Sarcoramphus papa) we also have a stop in natural hot springs, to take medicinal baths.
We will walk in the afternoon until evening in our Ecological Reserve (included night expeditions) to see tarantulas, different types of spiders, poisonous frogs, tree frogs, snakes, alligators, night monkeys, armadillos and boas. Night in our Lodge with private bathrooms and showers available.

This day after breakfast we will explore the jungle for several hours the trails and see different animals such as howlers monkeys, brown capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, collared peccaries and Coaties; birds such as eagles, parrots, macaws, woodpeckers, toucans, medicinal plants, flowers, and the giant trees of the jungle.
This night we will spend at our Tapirs and Deers Clay Lick. This Camouflaged hut is strategically located near to the Clay Lick to observe theTapir (the bigest mammal in the amazon) , Deers, and to enjoy the jungle sounds during all night time.
Night at our Camouflaged Hut watching nocturnal animals and to enjoy the mixed sounds of the jungle (protected by mosquitos net).

We come back early in the morning from the Camouflaged Hut to Papaya Eco Lodge, on the way back we will enjoy the amazing sounds of birds like Macaws, woodpeckers or sound of the Howler Monkey.
From here we take our boat up river to Machuwasi lake. In the late afternoon we will visit the lake and take a balsa raft giving us the opportunity to see different kinds of wildlife, and the beautiful sun set from the jungle. After dark we will have another opportunity for night walking. We will spend the night in our comfortable lodge.

Note:If we didn´t see the Andean cook of the rock the first day in the afternoon, we can visit the last day in the morning.
We will get up early to visit the parrot, parakeets and mini macaws clay lick and after breakfast we will return to Atalaya by boat where our private bus will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.
We return to Cusco via the cloud forest and Paucartambo. We will arrive back in Cusco in the late afternoon.
