On the first day of our adventure into the Jungle of Manu, we will pick you up around 5:00 AM from your Hotels in Cusco, using Amazon Tours Peru private transport, our first stopping to visit the pre Inca burial towers of Ninamarca. We then drive through the mountains to get to Tres Cruces, the highest point and entrance to Manu National Park to one of the most protected natural areas in South America. From here we will continue into the Cloud Forest and at Fog forest we will explore for around 3 hours to observe the National bird of Perú, (the cock of the rock), the biggest monkey in Peru (woolly monkeys) and to observe different types of bromeliads, beautiful orchids and in a lucky day we might encounter the Andean Bear (Tremarctos ornatus) and many others exotic birds like Blue-banded Tucanet, Golden-headed Quetzal and Crested Quetzal. Then we arrive to our Amazon Pona Lodge where we will sleep in a beautiful and rustic lodge, this night before dinner we do short night walking using our rubber boots (night walk optional).

After breakfast we continue by our van to tropical lowland rainforest, stopping along the way to visit a coca and banana plantations. Arriving at the small village Atalaya at 650m, we change into a motorized canoe to navigate down the fast of Alto Madre de Dios River, with all equipment (life jackets) along the boat trip, we can see a variety of birds, such as herons, kingfisher and always the presence of vultures of which the most spectacular is the condor of the jungle, the king of vultures (Sarcoramphus papa).
After lunch, in the afternoon we will visit Machuwasi Lake where we will take a balsa raft and see Capybara (the biggest rodent in the world) different varieties of wildlife such as the pre-historic Hoatzin bird, Cormorants, Herons, Horned screamer and watch the beautiful sunset, (included night expeditions) to see tarantulas, different types of spiders, poisonous frogs, tree frogs, snakes, alligators, night monkeys, armadillos and boas.
We will spend the night in our rustic at Harpy Lodge.

We will leave early to visit the parrots, parakeets and mini macaws clay lick, and after a good breakfast We will explore by different trails and enjoy the amazing sounds of birds like Macaws, woodpeckers, Toucans, Parrots, harpy eagles. We have chance to see many species of mokeys like, squirrel Monkeys, Capuchin Monkey, Titi Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, wild pigs and many other species. Also the tour guide will explain you everything about the ecosistem of the jungle, medicinal plants and giant trees. Before dinner (other night expedition which is optional) to see more nocturnal creatures.
We will spend the night in our rustic at Harpy Eagle Lodge.

We will leave early to keep exploring the jungle until breakfast time and after we will return to Atalaya port by boat where our private bus will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.
We return to Cusco via the cloud forest and Paucartambo. We will arrive back in Cusco in the late afternoon.

Note:If we didn´t see the Andean cook of the rock the first day in the afternoon, we can visit the last day in the morning.
