Manu cloud forest Short and Sweet

This trip is a shortest to Manu National Park and sweet visit, is exactly for those who do not have enough time to visit the amazon jungle and the most economical way to get know the jungle, that offers authentic and adventures tours (exploring the cloud forest and high jungle) with the activities of fishing, climbing trees and night walks. Recommended for families with kids.

ITINERARY DESCRIPTION

Day 1: Cusco – Amazon Pona Lodge
On the first day of our adventure into the Jungle of Manu, we will pick you up around 5:00 AM from your Hotels in Cusco, using Amazon Tours Peru private transport, our first stopping to visit the pre Inca burial towers of Ninamarca. We then drive through the mountains to get to Tres Cruces, the highest point and entrance to Manu National Park to one of the most protected natural areas in South America. From here we will continue into the Cloud Forest and at Fog forest we will explore for around 3 hours to observe the National bird of Peru, (the cock of the rock), the biggest monkey in Peru (woolly monkeys) and to observe different types of bromeliads, beautiful orchids and in a lucky day we might encounter the Andean Bear (Tremarctos ornatus) and many others exotic birds like Blue-banded Tucanet, Golden-headed Quetzal and Crested Quetzal. then We arrive to our selected Amazon Pona Lodge. In the evening before dinner we'll walk into the jungle, (night expeditions) to see tarantulas, different types of spiders, poisonous frogs, tree frogs, snakes, night monkeys, Giant armadillos and boas using our rubber boots (night walk optional).

Day 2: Amazon Pona Lodge (exploration day)
After an early breakfast, we will explore the trail system in the jungle till around mid day and enjoy the amazing sounds of birds like Macaws, woodpeckers, Toucans, Parrots and medicinal plants. We have chance to see many species of mokeys like, squirrel Monkeys, Capuchin Monkey, Titi Monkeys, Howler Monkeys and many other species, we will also visit a small Lake where we will take a wooden balsa and see varieties of wildlife such as the pre-historic Hoatzin bird, Cormorants, Herons and Martin king fisher. After the lunch we might also have time to swim and fish in the river. In the afternoon we return to the Inca capital Cusco, and drop off at your hotel.
